Surgeon Simulator dev squashes Half-Life 3 rumors

Written By Kom Limpulnam on Jumat, 28 Juni 2013 | 23.26

Bossa Studios has confirmed that the easter egg recently discovered in Surgeon Simulator 2013 is not a tease for Half-Life 3.

"Whoa! It seems that you've got a little ahead of yourselves! Here's a clue: THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY VALVE GAMES! Carry on now…," the developer wrote on Twitter today.

Gamers this week discovered a note taped to an object with Korean text inside Surgeon Simulator 2013. The text reportedly reads "The time is," with dots said to be in reference to planets within the solar system.

"The time is 8:47 a.m." is one of the first lines in the original Half-Life.

The discovery was made following the Team Fortress 2 update for Surgeon Simulator 2013. The free update allows gamers to play as Team Fortress 2's medic and operate on the heavy.

Last April, Valve boss Gabe Newell said the studio had gone through numerous "twists and turns" to bring the game to market. He explained that Valve remaining silent on the game is in the best interest for gamers because elaborating on the game's development "would probably drive people more crazy."

The most recent Half-Life game was 2007's Half-Life 2: Episode Two. That game advances the story of previous entries Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One. A third episode was planned, but has not seen the light of day.

A listing for Half-Life 3 was recently spotted in a Valve project tracker.

EA: Mirror's Edge sequel will "reach a bigger group of people"

The original Mirror's Edge was a fairly niche game, but its open-world sequel aims to cast a wider net. That's according to EA Labels president Frank Gibeau, who told IGN that the pieces are place for the free-running sequel to grow the franchise's audience.

"Our goal in any product is to try and grow the audience," Gibeau explained. "We're definitely taking into account the opportunity to reach a bigger group of people. We think we've got the right story and accessibility that can do that."

Gibeau added that the original Mirror's Edge sold a couple million units, so it's "not an art film." Still, he said the franchise has the opportunity to grow with the upcoming sequel.

The Mirror's Edge sequel was announced during EA's E3 briefing earlier this month. Little is known about its gameplay outside of Gibeau describing the game as an "open-world action adventure game."

The game is currently in development for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. According to developer DICE, it will be released "when it's ready."

The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft has now sold over 7 million copies, developer Mojang announced today over Twitter.

"Minecraft on Xbox has now sold 7 million copies!!! CRAZY! =D," business developer Daniel Kaplan said.

It is unclear if this figure is referencing the Xbox Live Arcade version, the disc-based retail version, or combined sales of both. Mojang was not immediately available to comment.

The XBLA version of Minecraft crossed 6 million units sold at the end of March, while the disc-based iteration released this month and broke retail records in the United States.

Meanwhile, the PC/Mac/Linux version of Minecraft recently crossed 11 million copies sold.

Xbox 360 sales will shortly overtake Wii in the UK

Written By Kom Limpulnam on Kamis, 27 Juni 2013 | 23.26

Microsoft's Xbox 360 is poised to overtake Nintendo's Wii as the best-selling console of this generation in the UK, games industry number-cruncher GfK Chart-Track has told MCV.

The latest figures show that the Xbox 360, which launched in December 2005, has shifted over 8.4 million units.

Microsoft has closed the sales gap between Nintendo's Wii, which once dominated the hardware charts. The Xbox 360 will overtake the Wii's hardware sales in a matter of days, says Chart-Track.

1.5 million sales now separate the Xbox 360 from the PlayStation 2, the UK's best-selling console of all time. Sony's legendary machine, which launched in 2000, has shifted 10 million units.

Microsoft is still supporting the Xbox 360, and announced a redesigned version of the console at E3 2013. Many high-profile titles, including Grand Theft Auto V, will also grace the platform before Christmas.

"This is an historic milestone and our sincere thanks goes to each and every person that has bought and enjoyed Xbox 360 over the past eight years," said UK Xbox executive Harvey Eagle to MCV.

"As you saw at E3 earlier this month, we announced a new Xbox 360 form factor and we are committed to ensuring Xbox 360 remains the best place to play games, connect with friends and enjoy your entertainment."

"You'll see great exclusive content coming not only to Xbox 360, but also to Xbox One later this year."

The Xbox One will launch in November.

Consoles becoming more like PCs, says Alienware

Game consoles and PCs are more alike than ever before, according to Alienware general manager Frank Azor. Speaking with PCGamesN, Azor said the distinctions between Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC architecture are slipping away.

"A lot of the innovations and things that are proven on the PC are making their ways onto consoles," Azor said. "The consoles are looking more and more like PCs every day."

The Xbox One and PS4 are both built on a PC-focused x86 architecture. And from a service standpoint, Azor pointed out, the platforms are also adopting features PC gamers have had for years.

"You're installing games now instead of running them off the disc, because that's the right thing to do; you're downloading games digitally, which we've been doing on PC for years; they're integrating certain TV aspects and stuff, well, ten years ago we started experimenting with media center," Azor said.

The Xbox One ($500) and PS4 ($400) launch later this year.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified - Call The Shots

Does this game still has the Same-sex and civil-rights sub-plot, which is supposed to take up 90% of the story? It had something about a L G B T scientist saving the world.

*@*gamer.net: I commented that it sounded like XCOM was really more of a 60's period piece that happened to use aliens as a catalyst to bring out the social climate.

2K Marin: "As a narrative guy, absolutely. To both mutate and express the inner conflicts of the period."

Morgan Gray to Electric Playground: "We are definitely going to be touching on everything that we can legally do . It?s such a specific year, it?s not arbitrary. There will be historical cameos, a lot of historical reference? "

Also, they said there is no BaseBuilding or real research. Well, that's bites! :(

Sony explains why PS Plus is required for PS4 online play

Sony has explained why a PlayStation Plus subscription will be required to play PlayStation 4 titles online. In the latest issue of Famitsu (translated by Kotaku), Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida said that it would have been "absurd" to keep the service free, considering the "large investment of resources" Sony has made for online infrastructure.

"The main pillar for the PS4 will be online play. We're developing many new ways to play and connect which requires a large investment of resources," Yoshida said.

"Considering the cost, to try to keep such a service free and consequently lower the quality would be absurd. We decided that if that's the case, then it would be better to receive proper payment and continue to offer a good service."

Currently, Sony does not charge a penny for online play for the PlayStation 3. PlayStation Plus subscriptions are offered for $50 per year and current memberships will carry over to the PS4.

The move puts Sony in line with Microsoft, which currently mandates Xbox 360 users have an Xbox Live Gold membership ($60/year) to play games online and access features like Netflix.

Elsewhere in the Famitsu issue, Sony Japan president Hiroshi Kawano said just because the PS4 is the main show moving forward, support for the PS3 is not ending anytime soon.

"It's been seven years since the release of the PS3 and the console continues to sell at a constant pace, plus we have many upcoming titles," Kawano said. "We have no intention of immediately shifting from the PS3 to the PS4."

"With the 2014 launch of our cloud service in the US allowing users to play PS3 games on the PS4, some people may switch consoles from the PS3 to the PS4," he added. "But that'll be a gradual process, and to say 'we're releasing a new console, so trade in your old ones for it' would be a maker's ego talking, plain and simple."

The PS4 launches this holiday for $399/€399/£349.

Playdead's black-and-white puzzle platformer Limbo will launch for iOS devices next week, the Danish developer announced today. The game will be available for $5 on July 3.

Limbo for iOS devices will feature an "amazing touch-based experience" and is compatible with iPad 2 (and higher), iPad Mini, iPhone 4S (and higher), and the latest generation of iPod Touch.

The game sells for $15 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita, while the PC/Mac version is available for $10.

Playdead said in a statement that its ambition has been to bring Limbo to as many devices as possible. This model is paying off for the developer, as the company also announced today that the game has sold 3 million units across PS3, Xbox 360, Steam, Mac, and PS Vita.

Limbo puts players in the shoes of a small child who must find his way through a black-and-white world, filled with puzzles and dangerous, often deadly, obstacles.

The game won critical acclaim upon release, which was followed by a small avalanche of award nominations that yielded multiple Interactive Achievement Awards and a Game Developers Choice Award.

Codemasters brings Colin McRae Rally 2.0 to iOS

Update: Colin McRae Rally has been released on Apple's New Zealand app store, which traditionally suggests a worldwide release tomorrow. The game is based on Colin McRae Rally 2.0 and includes 30 rally stages alongside the Subaru Impreza, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI, Lancia Stratos and Colin McRae's Ford Focus. The app requires a minimum of an iPhone 4S or iPad 2 to run.

Original story: UK developer Codemasters has said it will announce its latest project tomorrow.

The developer has released artwork of rally legend Colin McRae's iconic Ford Focus, suggesting the new title will be rally focused. The typography from the new artwork is reminiscent of the cover for classic PlayStation title Colin McRae Rally 2.0, suggesting a possible revival of the iconic rally racer for a modern platform.

"Working on a new thing to announce tomorrow, bringing back lots of memories. Will hint soon with usual subtlety," added Codemasters' communications director Rich Eddy on Twitter.

Codemasters' latest racer, GRID 2, was released in May. GameSpot awarded the game a score of 8.5 in its review.

Avalanche boss to devs: "Without passion you will fail"

Avalanche Studios founder Christofer Sundberg has a message to studio leaders: success comes from passion.

As part of a wide-ranging GamesIndustry International feature on studio growth, Sundberg warned of the perils of putting aspirations for money ahead of making great games.

"In terms of nurturing the studio, I'd like to encourage studio heads to not lose touch with games development, which was probably (hopefully) the reason they started their studios in the first place," Sundberg said. "I know it's easy to get detached as the budgets and projects grow, as bigger publishing partners and investors join, but without the passion for game development you will fail."

"Finally, everyone wants to make money, but I have always said that the day we start focusing on being a business rather than a game development studio, we've lost our soul and our right to exist," he added. "Passion for games is everything. If you find yourself flat broke (I've been there) and still feel motivated to create the game of your dreams, you're a winner."

Sundberg made headlines recently for saying most games today are too short and that's why they are traded in.

The latest project from Sundberg and Avalanche Studios is Mad Max, which will be released in 2014 published by Warner Bros. The car combat-focused game does not feature any multiplayer.

CT senator talks role of violent games in mass shootings

In the wake of December's schoolhouse massacre, which left 20 children and six adults dead at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., violent games have been a talking point for politicians across the country.

The talk turned to action in January, when president Barack Obama ordered more research be done to investigate the relationship between video games and real-world violence. Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT), supports this plan, which allocated $10 million for the Centers for Disease Control and National Institutes of Health to conduct its studies.

Speaking during a recent Google Hangout, Murphy responded to GameSpot's question regarding why he chose to single out video games during a speech in January and what message he has for the video game industry at large.

"Obviously, this is a very sensitive issue in Connecticut. Newtown is still in crisis," Murphy said. "Not enough healing going on there in the wake of the murder of 26 children and educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School. And you know, what we know are the facts about that crime. What we know is that this young man, deeply mentally ill walking the school with an assault weapon armed with 30-round magazines. What we know is that he was very, very severely mentally ill; that his mother had been trying to get him help for years. And what we also know, is that he spent a lot of time playing violent video games."

The Sandy Hook shooter was reportedly a "deranged gamer" who sought out the elementary school so as to "outscore" past mass murderers. It was also reported that he killed himself during the attack so that he would not give away these "points."

Murphy said the Sandy Hook shooter's violent outburst cannot be pinned on any one element, but claimed that a trend does exist that shows past mass shooters had "exposure to these video games."

"What we admittedly don't have…is any peer-reviewed studies or research that tell us that there is a definitive link between exposure to violent video games and violence."

"Now, nobody can sit here for certain and say that without any one of those things; without the powerful weapons, without the mental illness, without the exposure to video games, this wouldn't have happened. We can't put ourselves in his mind," Murphy said. "But we do see a trend where some of these shooters do have exposure to these video games."

Murphy acknowledged that legitimate studies do not exist that prove a correlation between violent games and violent behavior, which is one of the reasons why he has supported the ongoing initiative from Obama and vice president Joe Biden.

"What we admittedly don't have…is any peer-reviewed studies or research that tell us that there is a definitive link between exposure to violent video games and violence," Murphy said. "What researchers will tell you, is that if you already have a severe mental illness, and a predilection to violence, perhaps the video game exposure can put you over the edge. But in and of itself, there is no research showing that there's a link."

"It's one of the reasons why I've supported president Obama and vice president Biden in their efforts to have the CDC and the NIH do more research on the root causes of gun violence; one of the things they are going to do research on now is that link between exposure to violent video games and to violent episodes because I admit that we don't have the research there to back up what we see anecdotally in the case of Adam Lanza, for instance."

"And before we pass any legislation, which would limit the exposure that people have to these types of video games, I think it's important that we have the research and the data and that's what we're trying to do right now."

Speaking during Senator Dianne Feinstein's (D-CA) press conference in January introducing a bill that would ban assault weapons and high-capacity gun magazines, Murphy said the Sandy Hook massacre may not have occurred if games did not glorify guns and violence.

"I think there's a question as to whether he would have driven in his mother's car in the first place if he didn't have access to a weapon that he saw in video games that gave him a false sense of courage about what he could do that day," Murphy said at the time.

Biden met with game industry leaders earlier this year to discuss the link between violent video games and gun violence as part of a wider task force into gun control measures. It is unclear what was discussed.

Biden recently made headlines for saying there would be no legal problem with taxing violent games, despite the landmark 2011 decision from the Supreme Court that ruled games are protected free speech under the first amendment.

Quantic Dream hiring for mobile

Heavy Rain studio seeking user interface artist and designer to create 2D artwork and graphics for unspecified project.

Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls studio Quantic Dream could be moving into the mobile space. The Paris-based studio has posted a job listing for a UI artist/UI designer that suggests the company is at work on something for mobile platforms.

"This position involves designing and creating 2D artwork and graphics for the UI Interface as well as other 2D items on various mobile and console platforms," reads a line from the job description with emphasis added.

Last month, a NeoGAF forum member found a Quantic Dream job listing for an Android programmer, though it was housed on a third-party job board and not the developer's official website.

None of Quantic Dream's other five job listings include mention of mobile platforms.

Beyond: Two Souls launches in October and Quantic Dream is already at work on an "incredibly exciting" PlayStation 4 title. This game may include multiplayer, according to a past job listing, which would be a first for Quantic Dream.

Assassin's Creed IV DLC features a new assassin

Written By Kom Limpulnam on Jumat, 21 Juni 2013 | 23.25

Single-player DLC for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will revolve around Adewale, who serves as Captain Edward Kenway's first mate.

A Best Buy listing (spotted on AllGamesBeta) has unveiled the season pass DLC for the upcoming Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The content will revolve around a new assassin, Adewale, who serves as Captain Edward Kenway's first mate.

The main campaign for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag focuses on Edward Kenway, grandfather of Assassin's Creed III protagonist Connor.

Best Buy has priced the AC4 season pass at $19.99, claiming a saving of $20 on buying all the Assassin's Creed IV content separately. The DLC will reportedly contain new single-player and multiplayer missions, alongside new customisation options.

Assassin's Creed III's single-player DLC took place over three chapters, focusing on a alternate reality storyline where George Washington declared himself King, and protagonist Connor inherited a set of super powers.

This year's Assassin's Creed will also be a launch title for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Bethesda didn't want to "force" multiplayer into new Wolfenstein

Some fans may have been miffed to learn the upcoming first-person shooter Wolfenstein: The New Order would not include a multiplayer component, but according to Bethesda, such a mode didn't fit in with Machine Games' creative vision for the game.

"We talked to Machine Games about the game they wanted to make and multiplayer wasn't in their thought process," Bethesda marketing VP Pete Hines told Eurogamer.

He explained that just because past games in the Wolfenstein series did include multiplayer, that doesn't mean all entries must.

"We're not going to force it down their throats and say, 'Well, the last games did, so you have to do it.' These guys do cool stuff," Hines said. "If you look at The Chronicles of Riddick or you look at The Darkness, those games have a creative element to them that is similar to the things they're doing in Wolfenstein and that's what attracted us to them, and that's what attracted us to their vision of Wolfenstein."

"And we said 'Okay, run with that.' We're not going to say, 'Oh, we'll find somebody else to do the multiplayer.'"

Bethesda is no stranger to publishing high-profile single-player-only games. The studio is also behind franchises like The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, and Dishonored.

Wolfenstein: The New Order launches for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC later this year.

The War Z renamed Infestation: Survivor Stories

Written By Kom Limpulnam on Kamis, 20 Juni 2013 | 23.26

Controversial zombie game The War Z has changed its name to Infestation: Survival Stories.

In a release, OP Productions said the name change was due in part to helping fans differentiate the game from "similarly titled brands."

It is possible this is referencing Day Z, another zombie survival game from Dean Hall and Bohemia Interactive.

"OP Productions initially filed The War Z trademark early last year, but soon found out from the United States Patent and Trademark Office that the name was comparable to another property," the company said in a statement.

"After months of trying to resolve the issue, OP Productions decided the best option to avoid confusion among players was to rename the game," the statement went on. "Current players will not experience any change or interruption with the exception of the change in name and game logo."

The game launched on Steam in December and was pulled just a day after release, after users reported numerous issues. Valve called its decision to originally publish the game a "mistake." The game was reinstated on Steam in late February.

Its forums and databases were hacked in April, though no payment information was compromised.

GameStop shares surge on Xbox One news

GameStop shares surged today after Microsoft announced a new Xbox One policy that lifts all limitations on used games for the platform.

At press time, GameStop shares are up 5.32 percent (+2.39) to $40.57.

Microsoft's new terms state players are free to trade-in, lend, resell, gift, and rent disc-based games in the same way that they can today on Xbox 360.

The new policy is a boon for GameStop, which makes a significant portion of its revenue from secondhand sales.

GameStop praised Microsoft's policy reversal yesterday, saying the move was "great news" for gamers and is a testament to Microsoft's understanding of importance of used game market.

Microsoft's former policy was less-than-encouraging for GameStop, stating that Xbox One games could only be shared once, and only to someone a player has been friends with on Xbox Live for 30 days.

In addition, whether or not secondhand Xbox One games would be allowed at all was in the hands of individual publishers like Activision or Electronic Arts.

Xbox One policy reversal a "win/win" for consumers, says GameFly

Microsoft's decision to reverse its Xbox One used game policy is a "win/win" for consumers, GameFly cofounder Sean Spector told Joystiq in a new interview.

"I always felt good about the future of GameFly, but I feel better today," Spector said. "Today is a win/win for consumers, as well as GameFly. I think choice is always important and now consumers have more choice. And I give [Microsoft] credit for listening to their consumers."

Spector went on to say that Microsoft's previous plan "would have been detrimental to lots of people's [business] systems" and not just GameFly's.

Microsoft's former policy stood to negatively impact GameFly's business, as it stated that Xbox One games could only be shared once, and only to someone a player has been friends with on Xbox Live for 30 days.

GameFly is not the only company to applaud Microsoft's policy reversal. GameStop, which makes a significant portion of its revenue from secondhand sales, said the move was "great news" for gamers.

GameStop shares have since surged.

Linden Lab's virtual world online game Second Life will mark its tenth anniversary on June 23. To celebrate the occasion, the developer has released an infographic detailing player behavior and milestones recorded during the past decade.

Second Life opened to the public on June 23, 2003 and to date, the game's 36 million registered users have spent the equivalent of more than 217,266 years in the virtual world. Total user-to-user transactions have reached $3.2 billion in virtual currency, while Second Life's total landmass is nearly 700 square miles, or 14 times the size of San Francisco, California.

Users log an average of 1.2 million transactions per day for virtual goods, with the most popular items being women's hairstyles, Linden Lab said. Check out the full infographic below for more.

Second Life has become somewhat of a cultural phenomenon. The game was featured in a 2007 episode of The Office and 1980s band Duran Duran has a permanent residence in the virtual world.

Sony prices first-party PlayStation 4 titles at $59.99

Written By Kom Limpulnam on Selasa, 18 Juni 2013 | 23.26

Sony has confirmed that the pricing for its first-party PlayStation 4 titles will be $59.99 in North America, the same price point as PlayStation 3-era titles.

Speaking to Shacknews, a Sony representative said "we have announced the pricing for our first-party lineup of PS4 launch and launch window games. All four titles, Killzone: Shadow Fall, DriveClub, Knack, and inFamous: Second Son are all $59.99." Sony Computer Entertainment America CEO Jack Tretton previously said in February that PS4 titles would range from 99 cents to $60.

Microsoft recently confirmed that first-party Xbox One titles would also be sold for $59.99.

Third-party publishers--such as Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, and Activision--have yet to formally price their PlayStation 4 and Xbox One titles.

During its E3 2013 press conference last week, Sony confirmed that the PlayStation 4 would launch later in 2013 for $399/€399/£349. The Xbox One, meanwhile, will launch in November for $499/€499/£425.

Fable III free for Xbox Live Gold members

Adventure role-playing game Fable III is now available on Xbox Live as a free download as a special lead-in to Microsoft's new Games With Gold promotion.

The Fable III freebie offer ends June 30.

As announced during Microsoft's E3 briefing last week, the Games With Gold promotion will begin in earnest on July 1. The Fable III offer is an unrelated bonus, Microsoft said.

As part of the Games With Gold promotion, Microsoft will offer up two free Xbox 360 games per month, available beginning on the 1st and the 16th day of every month.

The first two games after Fable III will be Assassin's Creed II and Halo 3, though it's not clear which will release first. Once downloaded, players can keep these titles "no matter what," Microsoft said.

Microsoft's future ambitions may revolve around the Xbox One, but the company does not plan to abandon the Xbox 360 anytime soon. Xbox boss Phil Spencer said last month that he believes the platform will "be very vibrant for many years."

A redesigned Xbox 360 model was announced during Microsoft's E3 briefing last week and is available now.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II Vengeance DLC surfaces online

A leaked promotional poster suggests that the next DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be titled Vengeance.

If the images obtained by Call of Duty Online prove true, Vengeance would be the third map pack for Black Ops II, following Revolution in January and Uprising in April. Four map packs are planned for the game in total.

The artwork shows four new adversarial maps--Cove, Rush, Uplink, and Detour--alongside Zombies map Buried. The map pack also contains the Ray Gun Mark II for use in Zombies.

All Call of Duty map packs are timed exclusives for Xbox, with PlayStation and PC releases traditionally being made available about a month after Microsoft platforms.

The next Call of Duty title, Call of Duty: Ghosts, is being developed by Infinity Ward and will be released for current and next-gen platforms later in 2013.

Sony on why it won't hinder PS4 used games -- Flexibility creates value

The PlayStation 4 is a consumer-focused machine, and that's why it will not limit used games or require users connect to the Internet once a day, according to executive Jack Tretton.

"We're most concerned about the consumer. And we really appeal to consumers on a worldwide basis," Tretton told Bloomberg TV. "And I think in the United States, we realize there's a high degree of broadband adoption, but we're in a lot of countries where people don't have the ability to connect on a daily basis and we want to appeal to consumers worldwide."

Speaking about used games, Tretton said the ability to freely share titles with friends or resell them to retailers creates value for the initial purchase. If this flexibility were to be taken away, consumers would be less likely to buy games, he argued.

"The other thing as it relates to the ownership of the game, if people pay a lot of money for that, they equate the value with the flexibility they have in that," Tretton said. "To do with it as they choose; to give it to their friends, sell it to their friends, trade it in to another retailer; that creates value in the initial purchase that they make."

Competitor Microsoft has adopted a policy for the Xbox One that requires users to "check in" with a broadband connection once a day. In addition, though the system will allow used games, decisions will ultimately be left up to individual publishers.

Also in the interview, Tretton spoke about the PS4's design. He called it "beautiful" and "very, very sexy."

"People looked at it, and their jaw just dropped," he said.

Regarding the PS4's $400 price point, a full $100 below Microsoft's $500 Xbox One, Tretton said Sony hit the sweet spot with balancing technological power and a consumer-friendly price point.

"The goal is always to reach the most consumer-friendly price point so you can drive volume as quickly as possible," Tretton said. "But you walk that line between wanting to deliver the ultimate technological experience at a reasonable price and we think we hit a really nice chord at $399 with PlayStation 4."
