I want the return of the pre rendered background, I'm a su cker for any game with them.
Just look at the Gamecube Resident Evil remake, it still looks great today. FF 7,8 and 9 are the only ones in the whole series that I like and can still play today, I just get a sense of place with them that I don't with the others, the backgrounds age much better.
Myst 4 as well, youtube the opening it still looks amazing today.
They just feel more immersive and FF is the perfect series for them. Why I don't want a FF7 remake because I know they wont use pre rendered backgrounds for it.
