24 actor Kiefer Sutherland, who is playing Snake in the upcoming open-world/sandbox game Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, is quite enthusiastic about the medium of video games. Writing on the "celebrity comments" section of the game's website, Sutherland said he thinks the future is bright for video games.

"This is arguably one of the most exciting new frontiers in entertainment," he said. "It was an honor and a privilege to work with [Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima] who is at its forefront."

Sutherland's comments were recently added to the Metal Gear Solid V website. Other Hollywood celebrities who gushed about The Phantom Pain, and specifically its epic E3 trailer, included key creative people behind acclaimed franchises like Spider-Man, The Walking Dead, and Pacific Rim. You can read all of those comments in this story from late June.

The Phantom Pain is currently in development for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Publisher Konami has not announced a release date for the game just yet. According to Kojima, the game's world is about 200 times bigger than that of predecessor Ground Zeroes, which launched in March for past- and current-generation consoles.
