But yeah everybody is effected differently, but I always take the best precautions when playing horror themed thrillers, play them alone, late at night, in the dark on a large TV, sit up close, crank up the surround sound or wear a nice pair of headphones, I find headphones most effective, and keep at it for a couple hours at a time, and finish it quick.
I find some people don't enjoy them because they don't think about their own settings effecting the immersion. Don't play around people, they can be distracting, don't listen to music, don't talk to your friends on XBL party chat, don't play with the volume turned down, don't play your games on the TV while watching Netflix on the laptop, and don't dabble in it like play a half hour, save, come back a few days later and do it again, or don't play something else while yous still haven't finished it, when people do that I feel they're not even trying to enjoy these games.
